Martina on the TV!
On Sunday 19th February 2012 Martina featured in a short programme from Channel 4's 4thought.tv. The theme was 'Should alternative medicine be available on the NHS?' and Martina contributed a perspective from the Bowen Technique and her own personal experience. Thanks to everyone who watched and also those who contributed to the lively debate on the comments page.

If you are outside of the Sunderland area and need further information about Bowen Practitioners who operate in your area please contact the European College of Bowen Studies. There is a search facility on the site to find your closest practitioner.

Clinic Changes
I have now changed my clinic times with regular clinics available throughout the week. Contact me directly to arrange an appointment that is suitable for you.

So what exactly is the Bowen Technique?
The Bowen Technique is a soft tissue therapy suitable for both adults and children from all walks of life and provides an alternative to physiotherapy. The Bowen Technique doesn’t use adjustment or manipulation. Instead through the use of anatomically placed moves the connective tissue surrounding organs and muscles is relaxed. This in turn ensures the muscles are working in the correct combination and length. With the body structure balanced, function will follow. read more...
